This is the authentic recipe for Indian spiced tea combining both ground and hand-crushed whole spices with a robust Assam tea for strength and colour in milk. Warming, tantalising, and highly addictive.  This is the ultimate spiced chai.

Enjoy:  Morning - afternoon.  A good replacement for coffee.

Brewing:  Add 1 teaspoon of chai into 1/4 cup of boiling water and infuse for 2-3 minutes.  Add  3/4 cup of cold milk of choice and stir over low heat until it reaches the required temperature.  A teaspoon of honey may be added for sweetness. Strain into a cup or teapot and enjoy.

Ingredients:  Black tea, cinnamon, cardamom pods, ginger, anise, clove, black pepper.
