TEA & CAKE 'AFTER DARK' with TILLY'S TABLE
Here at The Berry Tea Shop, we are delighted to share some highlights from our recent event with the delightful Tilly Pamment for our 'Tea & Cake After Dark' event. If there is one thing we love more than tea, it's CAKE! And so it was a joy to host this special event, led by our very own Paulina Collier, to celebrate the launch of Tilly's first cookbook, "The Plain Cake Appreciation Society."
Tilly Pamment, renowned for her skills as a cook, photographer, and stylist, has captivated many with her culinary masterpieces and stunning photography, often featured in Country Style magazine. Her debut cookbook contains 52 simple, seasonal cake recipes each perfectly paired with tea and beautifully complemented by floral designs. We love Tilly's quote at the beginning - "The cornerstone of contentment lies in a slice of cake, a cup of tea and company to share it" - which is also our philosophy!
Inspired by Tilly's blend of traditional home cooked flavours and visual artistry, we were thrilled to invite her to our tea shop for an evening filled with cakes, matching teas, and engaging conversations with Paulina.
Our guests experienced an intimate and exclusive ‘after hours’ experience, managed by our friends at Mills + Franks. The highlight of the evening was the array of handmade cakes, lovingly prepared by Cliff Collier, inspired by Tilly's cookbook. These nostalgic treats were paired with our finest teas, carefully selected to enhance the experience.
As a token of this memorable evening, each guest left with a signed copy of Tilly's new cookbook and complementary tea samples, a perfect keepsake to inspire their own baking adventures. This event was a heartwarming fusion of creativity, culinary art, and community spirit, and we are incredibly proud to have hosted such a magical 'Tea & Cake After Dark' experience at The Berry Tea Shop.
